iSUBSTRATE: ideal Substrates
iSUBSTRATE is our service for the preparation of solid or liquid substrates such as straw and green cuttings as well as branch cuttings, for example from orchards and vineyards or olive groves, and many more,
but also nutrient-rich organic sludge,
to make them usable in biogas plants or composting.
Depending on the input material, iSUBSTRATE increases the biogas yield from previously solid substrates by 10%-50%. In this way, many substances can only be
be converted economically in biogas plants in the first place.
For composting, co-substrates are created whose moisture content we
according to the target application.
iSLUDGE: innovative conditioning and utilisation of sludge
For the conditioning and utilisation of process sludges and sewage sludges
for example from food production, but also fermentation residues from biogas plants up to liquid manure

Our BIOKONUR-HUGE ENERGY concept combines organic waste – solid and liquid – in one place with the decarbonisation of energy consumption in another. In the process, the organic waste is first utilised in biogas plants 2.0: a wet fermentation process optimised even for solid waste and those with very high nitrogen content (e.g. dry chicken manure), including recirculation of the digestate and extraction of liquid and solid fertiliser products. This also achieves a reduction of the fermentation residue volume by about 80%.
Subsequently, the biogas is purified to biomethane and serves as a natural gas substitute.
In a further step, it is possible to convert this biomethane into BioLNG – using standard plants or with micro-liquefaction from as little as 250 m3/h of biomethane. BioLNG can be transported in an uncomplicated way to settlements without a gas grid connection, to islands and remote areas, as well as to typical off-grid locations such as mining, but it can also increasingly be used as a fuel for trucks and ships.
One of the currently most innovative concepts for efficient LNG or BioLNG utilisation is based on the recovery of released cooling energy from the regasification process. This cooling energy can be used for a variety of applications:
Low-cost freezing applications and cold storage in the food industry and logistics sector, low-cost refrigeration for production processes in the chemical industry, cryogenic recycling, plastics and wood processing,
in the production of composite materials, etc.
as well as for the desalination of sea or process water.
